THE TELEPHONES
The Telephones First formed as an acoustic act, gigging at small pubs n cafes around Derby in 2006, but soon expanded into a four-piece, writing an album The Bridge and selling it on CDs at gigs from 2008-2010. The band split in 2010, then reformed 2012, However, the arrival of Jim Widdop, as a co-writing partner in 2013 gave the music a more expansive feel, and offered the opportunity to blend Andys love of 60s music from both sides of the Atlantic, with shared broader genres and styles. Hummingbyrd (7”) was released 2015, on own label PPAJ, with Nothings the Same (7”) being released in 2016. A 6-track CD Introduction to Telephones was released in 2017.

The Telephones have written and are about to rehearse and record the next album, a combined writing effort, blending psych styles, with 60s, 70s 90s and contemporary influences.
